NidaCoreBy incorporating programmable logic controls in the fully automatic production system, the MegajectTM RTM-Pro offers many standard features unavailable on other models. Automatic functions are stored and easily accessed through the touch-sensitive display, which provides full control of the injection and flushing cycles. All of the machines operational features are pre-programmable and monitored. The MegajectTM RTM-Pro ensures accurate repeatability of the moulding process and the capability to interface with other production equipment such as an automatic press or manipulator.

Specification & Standard Features

  • Automatic Controls, featuring up to 30 individual pre-programmable moulding menus, each with the following variables; injection volume, injection flow; injection pressure; resin temperature; catalyst start and finish percentages.
  • Turbo Autosprue® interface & post injection mix-head & Autosprue air-purge, flush & drying cycle.
  • Precision fluid pumps, guaranteeing accurate output between 150 gm/min & 12 kg/min.
  • Resin/Catalyst pump system with adjustable ratio between 200:1 and 22:1 (automatic adjustment with PCR).
  • In-built 20 ltr. catalyst container with non-intrusive level sensing.
  • In-built 20 ltr. Non-pressurised polypropylene solvent tank SP3. with unique submersible solvent pump & non-intrusive level sensing.
  • Compact injection head with automatic control of resin & catalyst recirculation and low post-injection mix wastage (38 cc).
  • Mould Pressure Guard (MPG) providing accurate injection pressure control.
  • Full colour graphical touch-sensitive display screen providing readjustment of machine settings in each menu.
  • Multi-level user interface with password protection.
  • Catalyst flow/Injection pressure monitoring and parameter reading.
  • Multi-channel PID control loop for resin & mould temperature monitoring, where applicable.
  • Portable & lockable combined enclosures for controls (IP65) & pump assemblies, mounted on powder-coated steel frame.
  • Optional data acquisition and press input/output connections.
  • Now available pre-selection and programmable flow control. If pre-selected flow level results in pressure increase beyond pre-selected pressure limit immediate intelligent override control provides safe injection pressure and optimisation of mould fill.

  • Communication Panel - Ref:2899 - An additional input/output panelmounted on the side of the control cabinet providing the following connections:
    1. K type output for external monitoring of resin heater (optional) temperature.
    2. K type input to enable mould exotherm monitoring by the RTM-Pro.
    3. Heavy duty connector for remote start/stop option Ref:2961.
    4. Heavy duty data acquisition/press interaction connector.

Progressive Catalysation

A unique feature of Plastech's Megaject RTM-Pro. The Progressive Catalyst Ratio system (PCR) can be programmed to adjust the catalyst percentage during injection, using auto-controlled synchronised servo­motors to position the pump along its slave arm. PCR ensures a more linear cure for large or complex mouldings and will reduce gel wait time. All catalyst adjustment is made through the touch-screen, totally eliminating the need for manual adjustment. Upon selection of a pre­set injection recipe the catalyst pump moves to its start point automatically.
